Greetings All!
Well, it's finally fall, the leaves are changing color, weather is turning colder (but it's really nice today--almost like summer's back), and plenty of action both on the court and ice. We've been busy with several projects, including: 1. Michigan Warriors NAHL Hockey 2. Fenton Moose Idol 2010 3. U of M Flint Kodiaks College Football Many others are in the works, they'll keep us busy for the rest of the season. We're proud to announce some new soon-to-be staff members, who will be officially joining us: 1. Kimberly Zavicar 2. Gary Leone 3. Jennifer Tossey All are excited about joining, have extensive backgrounds in TV/video production and post-production, will be valuable assets to J-NIC Video Productions. Stay tuned for the official announcement of their becoming staff members. We've recently upgraded our studio with some new equipment--the Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 10 Production Suite, which has really helped with our post-production, and a new camera light--with the LEDs, it's brighter than any light you'll ever use! Perfect for all future wedding and event videos.... Enjoy this nice fall day and stay tuned for further updates!

Greetings All!
We've had a busy 2010 so far, with finishing the Flint Generals season (which appears to be their last), have a wedding coming up and just finished the Carman H.S. Class of 1980 reunion at the Black Forest Brew Haus in Frankenmuth--it was a great time, the commitee did a fantastic job organizing the event. You can see photos on Facebook, we'll have some here as well as some clips on YouTube, the DVD is in production. We were sad to hear that the Flint Generals folded after 40 years in the Buick City--it was apparent that the end was near, after many on- and off-ice problems, muck heckling and trash talk from fans (which did not help--not to judge) and whatnot. There is a new team coming to Flint, the NAHL Michigan Warriors, who should be an entertaining team, keeping the great tradition of hockey here. We wish them the best of luck, check out their site at: http://mywarriors.net. Stay tuned for more news and enjoy the rest of summer (and keep cool)! Greetings All!
Hope everyone is having a great summer, we are--and busy as ever, with some projects lined up, others in the planning stages. We've downloaded a trial version of Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 along with the DVD Architect Studio 5--so far, it's great. We'll either purchase the Production Suite or upgrade to Pro 9, either will be a great asset to our productions. We've uploaded a new demo video (the full-length version is on DVD) to YouTube, check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp-758abasg. Hope you enjoy it, be sure to let us know what you think. We extend congratulations to the Flint Generals on a successful season; they had a rough start, but made it to the playoffs, ended up one game short of the championship. They deserve accolades for this accomplishment--after all of the on- and off-ice problems, they made a go at it and made us proud. We hope they return for another season, will keep you posted. As far as the new junior team, they're still negotiating, check out http://www.mlive.com/flintjournal for updates. New photos on our photo gallery page, more to be posted in the near future. If you have any suggestions, comments, or ideas, we'll gladly take them into consideration--we appreciate any and all feedback from our readers/viewers. Enjoy the rest of this great June 2010 and stay tuned for updates. Greetings Readers!
We've been busy the last two months, finishing up the Flint Generals postseason, planning future projects, hiring a new staff member and seeing where we're going in 2010. First off, we wish to congratulate the Flint Generals on a (semi) successful season--it was a good start, then they hit some rough patches with many off-ice problems, which were finally resolved before they reached the Turner Cup Playoffs. After it looked as though they would miss out, they went into high gear and reached the postseason, finishing off the Muskegon Lumberjacks 4 games to 3...winning two in a row, each 5-2. Then it was on to the Turner Cup Finals, facing the mighty two-time defending champion Fort Wayne Komets...games 3 and 4 saw sellout crowds, the last being 4,065...something that hasn't been seen since January 11, 2008, when former Detroit Red Wing Darren McCarty played here. Sadly, they ended up short, losing 3-2 in game 5, but they didn't let that defeat their high spirits, commenting that it was one of their best efforts, plus silencing the critics (well, most). That memorable game may be the last pro hockey game in Flint, as their future hangs in the balance. Let's hope they're back so we can continue to cheer them on. In other news, we proudly welcome a new staff member, Kim Zavicar, recent Eastern Michigan grad...she helped out with filming of the IHL Turner Cup Finals game 3, did an excellent job. She brings extensive experience in video production and post-production, will be a valuable team member. We look forward to working with her on future projects. Our future projects include the Carman H.S. Class of 1980 reunion in July, should be an exciting event. A wedding in Frankenmuth should also be--summertime is the best time for weddings, many couples will be tying the knot and building a great life together. We wish all current and soon-to-be married couples the best of luck. That's it for now, stay tuned for future details. Greetings Readers!
We are proud to announce that we have a new addition to our camera arsenal, a Panasonic AG-DVC20...part of their ProLine series, this camcorder delivers high-end results with easy operation. After recording test footage, we are pleased with the results--crisp, clear picture and sound, much like our PV-GS150, which is also a valuable asset. We have retired the AG-455U S-VHS model, but may use it for some projects in the near future. We began with this model, was great for helping us start out--our first project features footage taken with it. Be sure to check out the link on the Contact page plus the new photos in the updated gallery and let us know what you think. Greetings Readers!
For those who have not had the opportunity to read our special page, here it is: Greetings All! This year marks our 15th anniversary and we are proud to share it with everyone who made J-NIC Video Productions possible...it was a long road, beginning a video production business, which started with our Creative Consultant, Scott Gould, who suggested the idea. In January 1995, we began doing research and hit upon the idea of purchasing a franchise in International Video Yearbooks, based in Nashville TN... After two seminars, we began the company; our first client was Carman-Ainsworth Jr. High School, first project was an orientation video for the incoming seventh graders. That fall, we signed three more: Flint Central H.S., Flint Northern H.S. and Flint Northwestern H.S. The most exciting part was signing the Flint Generals, who captured two Colonial Cups, in 1996 and 2000. After a long season and moving on from producing school videos, we decided to keep the company going, signing more clients. There are so many folks we wish to thank, many to mention, so we'll condense it down. First and foremost, those from the INVY staff--Jim and Sandra McCarthy, Jim Bonds, Don Covington, and Charles Trent... The Flint Generals staff and team; Swartz Creek High School athletic department; Mott Community College athletic department; Michigan Admirals staff and team... Wedded couples including: Heather and Loren Austin, Marcy and Vance Palmer, Renee and Rick White, Lyn and Kevin Gannon, Kathy and Ricky McQuary, Deanna and Kurt Schwarz, Zoe and Paul Harris... The staff and students of the University of Michigan Flint... The students and instructors of the Flint School of Performing Arts and Dolores School of Dance... Our past and present staff members deserve special thanks: Nicole Young (my sister), Grady Purches, James Fritzler, Jane Schneider, Sue Skinner, Robbie Nichols, Joe Lussier, Kirk Tomlinson, Bryan Berkey, Megan Henry, my right hand man Dave Hanson and most of all, Scott Gould, without whose inspiration and dedication, J-NIC Video Productions would not have been possible. All have been instrumental in the creative process, whether it be filming, editing, directing, post-production, and keeping the business going...I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. After 15 years, we've grown and matured...learned new techniques, signed many clients and customers, upgraded and re-tooled our studio...which will see more changes in years to come, stayed on the leading edge of new video production technology, and worked hard to stay in business. Thanks to everyone involved for 15 wonderful years and many more to come. Stay tuned... Jason J. Young Executive Producer, J-NIC Video Productions The big day is January 31st....we'll be celebrating, working on a new demo video and more, stay tuned! Happy New Year!
We are excited about the new year of 2010...this marks our 15th year in business, it all began in January 1995 when we received a franchise in International Video Yearbooks (Nashville, TN); since then we have done work for over 50 clients including: 1. Flint Generals Hockey Club (CoHL, UHL, IHL) 2. Michigan Admirals (NAFL, USFA) 3. Mott Community College 4. RDM Holdings 5. SML Associates Our first project was an orientation video for the incoming seventh graders to Carman-Ainsworth Jr. High School...many things have changed since then. Over the years, we've had many folks help us out, we wish to thank them: 1. Scott Gould, our Creative Consultant 2. Dave Hanson, our Chief Videographer 3. Bryan Berkey, videographer 4. James Fritzler, videographer 5. Grady Purches, director 6. Jane Schneider, videographer 7. Kirk Tomlinson, former Flint Generals coach and consultant 8. Joe Lussier, former Creative Consultant 9. Sue Skinner, videographer 10. Robbie Nichols, former Generals coach and consultant 11. Megan Henry, videographer 12. Cleven Willams, technical consultant 13. Tiffany Fuhr, videographer 14. Dawn Mattson, videographer And of course, Nicole Young, my sister, without whose dedication and creativity, J-NIC Video Productions would not have been possible. Thanks to all and the best of luck to them. We'll be having a special page dedicated to the official anniversary on January 31st, stay tuned! Season's Greetings!
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season--winter is in the air, everyone is making a mad dash to the stores for last-minute Christmas gifts, nice decorations everywhere--the whole area looks so festive. We have added a new video on AcidPlanet, our very first project, an orientation video for incoming seventh graders to Carman-Ainsworth Jr. High School. After we began our franchise in International Video Yearbooks, the high school asked us to make an orientation video for the junior high--we did not get a contract with the high school for a video yearbook, but produced a nice video for the junior high kids. It was great to work with the students and staff there. We wish all of them and everyone else a happy holiday season, the best of luck and hope 2010 is a great year--our 15th anniversary is coming up, stay tuned for celebration news and much more. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving and wonderful upcoming holiday season. We are truly thankful for all of our clients and customers, their generosity and the opportunity to help them preserve their precious memories. Big things on the horizon, stay tuned.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING ! ! ! We have just posted a new wedding video demo to Sony's Acid Planet, here's the link:
