First, to thank our loyal clients; with our upcoming 18th anniversary, we wish to thank all we have done business for, many of you for several projects. Second, you may have noticed we haven't posted any new news here, we've been in the process of upgrading our equipment and studio, planning for the near future. To get you up to speed, both the U of M Flint Kodiaks and Flint Monarchs had great 2012 seasons, are looking to better their regular- and post-season records, let's cheer them on. The Fenton Moose Idol is on hold, no news or updates, visit their site for details: http://www.fentonmoose.com. We're in negotiations with Shout! A Fantastic Tribute To The Fab Four to get them a show there, would appreciate any feedback--the Lodge has had some great entertainment, Shout! would be the perfect band to rock the house! We're also talking with the Flint City Derby Girls to film their upcoming 2013 season, we'll keep you updated. In the meantime, enjoy this fine January and Happy New Year! Happy 17th Anniversary!
The 31st of this month marks 17 years of business, we've come a long way since then...as you've read in past blogs, it all began in January 1995 when we received our franchise in International Video Yearbooks (then based both in Nashville, TN and L.A., now only there), spent part of the 1994-95 and all of the 1995-96 school years filming in the Flint Community Schools... Now are concentrating on weddings/events, bridal shows, VHS to DVD, etc. Seems so long ago...where we go from here remains to be seen, but there are many new ideas on the horizon, including HD video, live streaming video, possible "video in the cloud" and many more. We wish to thank all of our past and present staff, clients and customers, for without whose help, J-NIC Video would not have been possible. Stay tuned for details and enjoy the rest of this fine January 2012! Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season, we certainly are with all of the hustle and bustle, looking forward to the New Year 2012...
We have many projects in the works, including the remainder of the Fenton Moose Idol, check out the latest clips on our YouTube channel. Great singers this season, the competition is HOT! We'll have a table set up at the 2012 Here Come The Brides show at Brighton H.S., all brides-to-be who visit our site will recieve free tickets, plus a lucky few will be eligible for a prize drawing for stopping by our table. We'll have highlights of the show on YouTube, check out the 2011 Canton show for an idea of what's in store for the upcoming show. Happy Holidays and New Year from the staff of J-NIC Video Productions and see you in 2012! Greetings Readers!
It's been a long summer, fall is in the air and we're ready to face some new challenges--we're preparing to upgrade our studio, will possibly be adding the following: - HD cameras - DVD to Blu-ray transfer - Delivery on Blu-ray - Tapless video acquisition As many videographers are or have already upgraded to the new technology, we have been considering doing the same--however, many clients do not ask for HD video or Blu-ray discs, even though the picture quality is better and many movies/TV shows are being released on Blu-ray. Tapeless acquisition is becoming the way to go--consumer MiniDV, VHS, Hi8 and VHS-C cassettes are rapidly disappearing from retail stores (although professional grade MiniDV is still around), indicating big changes are on the horizon. Until it's time to finally go with the flow, we'll continue using what we have, as it has served us well and should continue to do so. The 2011 Fenton Moose Idol is coming up on the 17th, be sure to check out some past performances on our site and this year's as they're added; there will be many talented folks competing, let's cheer them on as they go for the gold! That's it for now, stay tuned for updates! Greetings and welcome!
It has been a while since our last blog entry, we've been busy signing new clients, working on new projects and planning new ones for the upcoming months. Some of these include: - Republic Talent International - Arabbo Family - Lake Fenton Idol 2011 - Fenton Moose Lodge American Moose Idol 2011 - Flint Monarchs WBCBL Basketball With all of what we have planned, we should have a busy rest of 2011 and plenty of things for 2012. We now have a fan page on Facebook, be sure to check it out and let us know what you think. We congratulate the Michigan Warriors on a successful 2010-11 season, making it all the way to the NAHL Robertson Cup Finals; they ended up short of winning the championship, but hard work and dedication got them there. We wish them the best of luck for future seasons, Go Warriors! Stay tuned for further details and Happy Mother's and Memorial Day! Happy 16th Anniversary!
Would you believe it's been 16 years since J-NIC Video Productions began? Yes, it's true--from that fateful day in January 1995 when we purchased a franchise in INVY (International Video Yearbooks) in Nashville, TN through 16 grueling years to where we are now...it was a long climb, but we're where we are. We wish to thank all who helped us out over the years, specifically Scott Gould, our Creative Consultant, who came up with the idea for a video production business in July 1994, and Nicole Young, our former Vice President/Videographer, who, along with Scott, was very instrumental in the development of our business. We'll see where we go from here, hopefully it's a smooth ride in the next 16 years! Happy Holidays!
Hope everyone is doing well and you're all ready for the upcoming Christmas/Kwanzaa/Hanukkah season...we've been busy ourselves, adding some new clients, working on new ideas for our business and planning for 2011. January 31st marks our 16th year in business, we've been reflecting on the last 15 and how far we've come in that time. It's been really exciting, the next few years should be even better and more exciting. A new video clip has been added to the Clips page, one of the performance highlights of the 2010 Fenton Moose Idol--Detroit native Gregory Hudson performing a medley of Motown tunes, beginning with "Stand By Me"--and keeping that tune throughout the entire medley! It was truly one of the best of the entire contest. We'll be filming next year's, stay tuned for details. Although we're no longer filming Michigan Warriors home games, we wish them the best of luck as they make a run for the playoffs; the Lapeer Loggers as well, both of whom are keeping the longtime tradition of Flint Pro Hockey (and now junior hockey) alive. We'd love to see the Loggers play at Perani's (we sometimes refer to it as "The Arena Formerly Known As The IMA Sports Arena")--with former Flint General Lorne Knauft behind the bench, they'd be a top draw! Let us know what you think. Have a very happy holiday and see you all in 2011! |
